"I started @StrawfreeMAN in October 2017 to help fight the war on plastics but with an initial emphasis on straws. I was motivated by;
a trip to Bali this summer and seeing the amount of plastics in the gutters of this amazing part of the world
the volume of litter on the UK streets that I drove past on my daily commute to work
the number of plastic straws that bars and restaurants use
the lack of any awareness in Manchester
So StrawfreeMAN / StrawfreeMANCHESTER was formed.
I work in Talent Acquisition and lead on recruitment for a global Education business. So I spend my days recruiting people to join the business and the nights recruiting people to join the Plastic Free Pledge."
